Five of the World’s Most Innovative New Hotels

This week's blog showcases some of the coolest and most inventive hotel projects in the world.

The hotel industry is a competitive landscape, with hoteliers and suppliers required to constantly stay on top of the latest trends to meet constantly changing customer demands.

A growing number of hotels have risen to the challenge by creating wild and wonderful properties. These hotels push the boundaries of industry trends – by using cutting-edge technology, sustainable design, and personalised guest experiences.

For suppliers catering to the global hotel market, understanding the latest in hotel trends is paramount to ensuring your business is putting the best sales pitch forward.

We’ve picked five of the THP team’s favourite innovative hotel projects, to provide inspiration and insight to industry suppliers looking to cut ahead of the competition and shape the future of hospitality.

  • The opening date is TBA
  • It will contain 200 rooms

Why we’re excited:

This project will be the world’s first and largest Peppa Pig cultural tourism project, capitalising on the multi-billion dollar children’s franchise. The hotel will include a Peppa Pig Hotel, a Peppa Pig Scenic Area, and an Ocean Discovery Center Oceanarium.

2. Sky Trees Hotel

  • Sky Trees Hotel will be located in Los Angeles, USA
  • The opening date is slated for the end of 2026
  • It will contain 160 rooms

Why we’re excited:

This Californian hotel has been innovatively designed by world-renowned architects Koichi Takada and MVE International to resemble a tree – in skyscraper form! The facade will feature a living green wall and partial timber cladding that flares out around the base. The rooftop will also feature a verdant garden. This exciting design is sure to stand out among the crowded Los Angeles skyline.

3. EDITION Lake Como
