Four of South America’s newest upcoming hotel projects 

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Pearl Island

This open-air resort will be on the Pearl Islands, a string of islands situated just 30 miles off the coast of Panama. The intimate complex will feature just 86 rooms, and will be operated by Ritz Carlton, a subsidiary of Marriott. The USD$35million project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2026. 

Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama

This resort features 186 guest rooms, which include 42 breathtaking overwater villas along 457 acres of coastline. The complex will only be accessible from Panama City by boat, seaplane or helicopter, ensuring an exclusive experience. There will also be extensive food and beverage options, along with countless options for outdoor adventure. The project is run by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts. 

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Cartagena

Four Seasons will be opening a hotel in Cartagena, a city on Columbia’s Caribbean coast. The project will revitalise and restore several culturally significant buildings dating back to the 16th Century. It’s projected to open by the start of 2025, with 132 rooms. 

Six Senses Galapagos

Six Senses is launching a resort in the wildlife-rich Ecuadorian province of Galapagos, on the northeastern coast of San Cristobal Island. The new build complex will have 250 rooms and launch in early 2025.
